- What problems are you facing in your life right now? Unexplained death or sickness of a friend or loved one? Divorce? Job stress? A break up? Financial struggles? School stress? How do you typically respond to the problems you face? Anger? Depression? Escape? Question God? Give up on God?
- Is it okay to question God?
- Do you think God gets angry or resolves to “get you” somehow if you express anger or impatience with him?
- Romans 8:28 says we can KNOW (not hope for, wish, guess) that God works all things together for good. What else can you know about God? What Bible passage(s) support your claim?
- How are you preparing TODAY for problems tomorrow?
- What did Jesus say about troubles in my life? (See John 16:33.)
- What is the purpose of troubles in my life? (See Hebrews 12:2-11, Romans 5:3-5, and James 1:2-4.)
- What truths do you see in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 that help you understand why God permits sufferings, trials and pressures in our lives?
- God desires an honest relationship with us and allows us to express our innermost thoughts and feelings to Him. However, he warns us about dangers to ourselves if we ignore His teaching. What attitude is especially dangerous if left unchecked and surrendered to Him according to Hebrews 12:15?
- What did Jesus feel about the crushing trial he faced in Gethsemane? Yet what attitude did he choose? (See Matthew 26:36-42.)
- Memorize Romans 8:28. Possibly team up with a friend and do it together for accountability and encouragement.

Dave, A great message. One that is applicable for everyone. We have had some similar trials as well. My best friend died of heart attack 2 yrs ago at 47 yrs old. The song at his funeral was "It is well with my soul". Cousin Ron, Springfield,Mo.
