Manage Money Wisely
- Dan Haakenson
- Jan 9, 2011
- Money – and how we manage it – is extremely important. Would you agree or disagree and why? Talking about money – and how we manage it – is often sensitive (in families, in church, etc.). Would you agree or disagree and why?
- Reflect on Jesus’ statement on money management in Luke 16:11. How would you summarize the parable and its basic lesson (Lk 16:1-12)? How do the following verses (Lk 16:13-15) shed light on the issues of money and money management? In light of the above, how would you put Jesus’ statement from Luke 16:11 into your own words? How will you apply this principle to your own life?
- The brief message from Luke 16:11 suggested that wise money management includes: preparation for the future; generosity; character; and devotion to serving God, not money. How does your life – and money management – reflect these four areas? Is there one in particular that needs attention?
- Sunday we also heard from Tom Britting – what insight or application will you take from that interaction?
- What will you do in 2011 to be wise in money management?
One specific opportunity for giving attention to money management is the upcoming Financial Peace University course here at SunHills. The introduction is tonight (Jan 9) and the course begins on Jan 23, 5-7pm. For further information please contact Tom Britting, .
