  1. There can be a number of emotions associated with Mother’s Day – what are some of those that you have experienced or experience now?
  2. Read Isaiah 49:13-16 and 66:13. Reflect on the message of these verses as it relates to moms, God, the people of Israel (original audience), you.
  3. What gets in the way of people hearing and receiving the message of God’s love?  (49:14; cf 40:27)  How can you relate?
  4. How can you apply the message of these verses to your relationship with God, to your relationship with your mom, to your relationship with your kids?
