Discussion Questions
  1. Read Galatians 2:11-16. On Sunday I asked the question: how does God feel about you… right now? How would you answer that?
  2. How does Galatians, especially 2:16 from this week, speak to the issue of our acceptance before God?
  3. Galatians 2:16 gives a summary of the gospel. How would you re-state the good news of this verse in your own words?
  4. What practical difference does it make in your life that acceptance by God is not based on your performance but on what Christ has done?
  5. What we need is to be reminded of this good news – regularly. It is when our hearts are full of the joy and gratitude of this free acceptance (justification) that we will live in faith, freedom, and love (‘in line with the gospel’). How are you doing in that regard? What can help you in this? (If you want to explore this further I’d recommend the book Gospel by J.D. Greear; I recently read it and it is very good.)

For next week, please read Gal 2:17-21.
