Discussion Questions
  1. Read Galatians 2:11-16. How would you summarize and recount this encounter between Paul and Peter?
  2. What change did Peter make and, more importantly, why did he make that change?  How were Peter’s actions, and the actions of those who followed him, “hypocrisy” (v13)?
  3. Where might your life be out of line/step with the gospel?  What are the challenges/struggles that you are facing at this point?  How does the gospel connect to those areas?  (Related to the message this week – that we are to live in line with the gospel – I recommend Tim Keller’s great article “The Centrality of the Gospel” it can be found here: http://www.redeemer2.com/resources/papers/centrality.pdf.)
  4. Where does fear (v12) of what others think have a tug on you? How could living in line with the gospel help you overcome this peer pressure?
  5. Both inferiority and superiority (issues here in Gal 2 and in us as well) are out of line with the gospel. How can the gospel transform this area in you?
