Discussion Questions
-
How often do you experience conflict (daily, weekly, monthly)?
- What do you make of the fact that the Proverbs speak more about how to minimize conflict than how to manage it?
- Look back at the Proverbs on “being slow to fight” and “being slow to anger”. Where and how could you apply these?
- How often do you communicate in conflict with gentleness? What would help you to do so?
- How do the other weeks in this series (tell the truth, speak with kindness, listen well) factor into how you care in conflict?
- What does it mean for you to seek to trust and please God in the midst of conflict?
- How do these New Testament passages, Eph 4:31-5:2 and Matt. 7:5, call you to resolve conflict?
- Pray for one another in resolving (minimizing and managing) conflicts.
