Further Reflection, Discussion, and Application
  1. Do you have childhood connections or memories associated with “Palm Sunday”?
  2. In the last two messages, the connection between Psalm 118 and Palm Sunday has been made.  What do you think of this connection and why it matters?
  3. Have you had a time in your life that you’ve called out to be saved / rescued – ‘help!’?   What happened?
  4. Compare the different responses to Jesus as He entered Jerusalem (Mt 21; Mk 11; Lk 19; Jn 12).  Some were critics, others just went with the crowd, some were genuinely curious, and some were committed.  Which group do you most relate to and why?
  5. Even the disciples did not have the “aha” moment until after the resurrection (Jn 12:16); why do you think that is?  What was your “aha” moment (if you have had one) in coming to a place of blessing the One who comes in the name of the Lord?
  6. Who will you share that with (see Ps 118:17)?
  7. How will you prepare for Easter in the days to come?
