Further Reflection, Discussion, and Application
- Do you have childhood connections or memories associated with “Palm Sunday”?
- In the last two messages, the connection between Psalm 118 and Palm Sunday has been made. What do you think of this connection and why it matters?
- Have you had a time in your life that you’ve called out to be saved / rescued – ‘help!’? What happened?
- Compare the different responses to Jesus as He entered Jerusalem (Mt 21; Mk 11; Lk 19; Jn 12). Some were critics, others just went with the crowd, some were genuinely curious, and some were committed. Which group do you most relate to and why?
- Even the disciples did not have the “aha” moment until after the resurrection (Jn 12:16); why do you think that is? What was your “aha” moment (if you have had one) in coming to a place of blessing the One who comes in the name of the Lord?
- Who will you share that with (see Ps 118:17)?
- How will you prepare for Easter in the days to come?
