MISSIONS HIGHLIGHT

Each month we’ve been highlighting part of our mission – to make disciples of all nations.  So we talk about India, Kenya, and other far-away places.  But what about right here?  What about you?  And those close to you?  If you are a follower of Jesus, this is your mission! You are to be Christ’s witness to your family, neighbors, co-workers, friends, those on the soccer team…

You’ve got a mission and yes, at times it can seem daunting.  But remember that Jesus, who has all authority, goes with you (Matt 28) and has sent his Holy Spirit to live in you with power (Acts 1) for precisely this purpose.  So start a conversation to tell someone about Jesus.  Share what God means to you and what he has done in your life. Pray for someone to come to know him and hisgrace. Take active steps to show his love and be a blessing to others. Invite someone to church. I’d love to hear what happens as you live the mission…

RENOVATION UPDATE

“Are we there yet?” – These familiar words have been asked in regard to our renovations.  In the past three months we’ve seen a tremendous amount done.  We are not there yet but we are close. The two portions of the project that we have left are the painting of the auditorium and the completion of the lobby.  We hope to have both of these final steps done soon, possibly by the end of this month.

Our campus is not the most important part of who we are or what we do but it is a significant factor which does influence our ability to reach people.  We are grateful for theblessings of these renovations – an important updating of our campus to maximize our ministry here and reach more people.  We give thanks to God and to you for your giving and serving in these projects!

Also, as we have been blessed, we are grateful for the opportunity to help others.  As we communicated at the beginning of this project we are donating 10% of what we spent on our campus to worldwide missions and localministry outreach.  We are giving these donations this month as well – a joyful privilege!

MEANT FOR GOOD

Through this month we’ll continue our study of the life of Joseph, coming to some of the critically important and relevant lessons from this story.  Keep reading along prior to our Sundays together.  The reading plan for upcoming Sundays is posted on our home page.
